I`m keeping an open ear though........I just picked up a 84 vette last saturday.....and it has a rodknock....
. I figure I can flip the old motor out and another 350 in on a saturday in the driveway, so that at least the car will run. Doing engine swaps in the driveway is getting old....this would be the 4th one in 2 years (Elcamino after I blew up the first LS series motor, the 4.3L chevette, I just put a 305 into my jetboat, and now the vette
)
Then again, I am a former thirdgen guy. Guess I just love tuned port injection.

My 77 C3 LS1 swap ended at 3150lbs without me...
late 70s's vettes have more weight that early 70s vettes...
I plan to pull out sway bay... A/C... and front crash bar. hopefully drop another 150lbs.
BTW...running low 12 with just a 224 Cam.
no headers ...no pulley... and a HOLLEY DP CARB
