Default LH8 conversion oil pan, need sensor?

The pictures I'm seeing of this pan don't seem to have the sensor like the fbody pan.

Is this an issue?

The sensor in the F-body pan is for the oil level sensor... not needed, flash it out...

i read the oil level sensor goes straight to the dummy light, therefore i assume it has nothing to do with the computer at all.
