I used a 94 LT1 raditor for my swap in my 68 firebird. The 94s had thicker cores than any other year and it also gave me an very nice set of electric fans to use. The ls1 radiators are thinner cores (not as much cooling capacity). I was able to use stock ls1 fbody radiator hoses too.

I used the stock chevelle radiator with some junkyard fans off a dodge intrepid which so far have worked/fit great. I still haven't torture tested this set up yet.

Anybody tried to fit one of these into your A-Body? They should be enough to keep the LS1 cool since that is what they were made for. That is what I was planning on using, just curious about fitment.

Mind is a eBay one that I got for $449.00 (but that was two years ago) with shrould and duel SPAL fans.. it is alum... no problem except on real hot days (100's) in stop and go traffic with the A/C on.. then it comes up to about 210 max.. I think the ebay store is called Universal...

this is the one that I used.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVE...spagenameZWDVW

Here is a few that are about the same..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/64-67...7751QQtcZphoto

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-A...spagenameZWDVW

These are in our $500 range..

^^^ LOL, OR get Ron Davis and be done with it. It will drop temps 20% over stock. It's a little more money than the $500 ebay special but it's twice the radiator. I just sold a guy who had a griffin one. His sprung a leak within 6 months so he decided to get the best and be done with it.

No sorry i havent tried them on an A body. The LS1 radiator is a little smaller and probably a little more costly than the fans. I think both radiators do a fine job cooling both engines until you get into supercharged setups.

I used an LT1 radiator and fans ($100 on ebay), got a top radiator shroud off a 95 Camaro($10 at junkyard), fan relay from parts store ($35)
Everything fits and works well in a 72 A body.

Buy radiator hoses fora 98-2002 camaro. They fit perfect. You will have to trim about a half inch off of the bottom hose to get it to clamp right.

I just fit an ls1 radiator in my 67 chevelle convertible today. It will fit nice, you just have to trim the bottom of the core support in the corners to get the radiator to slip down between the frame rails. You have to slide it down enough to clear the fill neck.I am building a support to go under the rad.that will bolt to the inside of the frame rails and use the factory ls1 mounts.I will fab a plate on the top after its mounted.Neat thing is I can use factory fans, the 4l60e trans.lines will hook rightup and fac. hoses will work with a little trimming.Lt1 rad will fit exactly the same.

Well I ahve been looking around and found that Jegs sells a Becool radiator for $460. The only problem is they don't have a pic of it so I don't know if it is downflow or crossflow. I have the fans off of a GTO that I would try to use if possible.
