Hey, I was reading your sig and wondering how that combo works for you?? How fast is it 1/4 mile?? Mileage/drivability?? If a guy used a LQ9 short block you probly wouldnt need to mill the heads hey??

Haven't had it the strip yet, waiting for another week or two when our humid weather goes away here in Michigan. Driveability is very good, mileage is ok, 15mpg city and hard acceleration, some highway. If I could keep my foot out of it I could probably get good mileage but I didn't build it to drive like an old man. Yes, the LQ9 would keep you from having to mill but you may have to flycut depending on cam selection.

I bought the BRP kit using this pan for my 69 Camaro and just put it in last week. It does hang down below the crossmember but only about an inch. Fit is nice and I believe that it is about the same a stock SBC pan as far as that goes. There was a magazine article a while back testing the pans for hp this one actually made another 3 hp over the f-body pan.

Mine made 10 more
Um, ok, why would that be, unless it was because of the cooling effect on the oil?

That is pretty funny, if the crank was actually getting spun in the oil on one and not on the other than you could see some type of improvement but they both have windage/baffles below the crank and trap doors in the sump, I don't think so. Good sales tool from someone

I got mine the other day and installed it no problem. Just for info, it uses a different oil filter (2008 Hummer H3 Alpha), and has no oil level switch provisions.

It seems to fit nicely so far. I dont have my motor mounted in the car yet, but I have had it in and out trying to size up mounts and what not. The kit itself if as complete as it gets. And at $132, thats a steal of a deal. Ive seem them on eYay for almost twice that plus shipping....wonder where that guy is getting from hey??

I have the hookup at cost and it still ran me about $210 for the pan, windage tray, pickup, dipstick tube, and dipstick. Pan did come with a new gasket and all of teh necessary bolts which made it nice.

If you bought them piece by piece $210 might be close at close to cost but the kit, 19212593, has a dealer list price of $180 so you paid a lot more for the same thing.

gm parts direct part # 19212593 was not available and they had no idea when it would be in, but I just purchased one from pace performance for $163.00 with shipping. This is the internet price, which they might be changing because they had no idea it was at this price online.

What car are you planning on using the pan on?
