coolant tubes
coolant tubes I have a 98 vett motor going in a ultima kit car. I swapped the vett throtel body for a camero one and now I have this coolant tube sticking out from under the intake manifold. It's a metal tube that contects in all 4 corners of the head. The manual says it goes through the throtel body and then connects to the radiator. which way is the flow
cold coolant from rad -> throtel body -> heads
or
hot coolant from heads -> throttel body -> rad
Can I just cap this off or will it effect the cooling of the heads?

Re: coolant tubes No, don't block it off. It purges air bubbles from the heads. Just skip taking it thru the throttle body and take it directly to the radiator or pressurinzed coolant bottle. Water is flow thru the heads and OUT the tube to the return of the radiator. There are various ways of hooking it up, but I wouldn't block it off.
