You gotta get some video and exhaust clips. Or maybe a few priceless moments of some other stang owners when they discover they just got walked by a Chevfordlet ... Gotta love the "someone just pissed in my cheerios" look!

The car should be VERY quiet at idle. I'm using a LS6 cam so there shouldn't really be any lope... If it make around 550 to the wheels I will be very happy with it. I don't really have any plans to race it at the track other than get a base time for it.

I will make a point to run down the LS1 based cars on the street...

The perfect excuse, in my mind, to pop an LSX in it and have a few laughs after the mission is accomplished.

My dilemma was a little different.. I bought a clean car thats been on the rise as a collector..

86 Monte Carlo SS.. The problem is its turd slow so the decision was easy to GO LSX

Thanks, I had a party at the house last weekend and everyone complimented on how clean it was. I even had 1 guy offer to trade a 06 fully loaded Trail Blazer SS for it when Done...

Pretty sweet car/build! This is what I want to do to my Mustang but it's a vert so not really worth doing. Too bad, I've already got a brand new LS6 block and some other parts.

Iron 5.3

I have not really worked on it for the past few weeks. With my promotion at work and going from 4-10's to 5-8's really sucks... Since I have a 4 day weekend I may get everything done so that I can finally get the engine bay painted.

Default one question

Very nice swap! Very clean work, thus far!

I am doing a similar swap (90 lx hatch with 6.0L single turbo) I had one question and that is where do you plan to mount your alternator and how?

I am losing all accessories (full drag car, tubular k member and flaming river manual rack) so I just need water pump and alt.

I have a stock LQ9 with harness and accessories out of an 03 escalade.

Any ideas? I havent got the AJE k member in yet (back ordered from Jegs) so I havent had a chance to play with things and mock it up yet.

Any input appreciated and like I said, CLEAN work!

Dan

Thanks for the comments, I have not messed with it for about a month now. My promotion at work has owned me, I have everything to finish the car. I just need to fab the radiator brackets and get it to the paint shop.

LOL, thanks for the comment.

I thought about taking the built 6.0 out of my Camaro and putting in here but I think i'm going to like the car being quiet and faster. LOL

Am I the only one that's just a little bit jealous that you have a lift at your house? I mean, c'mon! lol

Aside, I love your car bud. It's going to be so nice once you're finished with it. I think we deserve several videos once it's completed.

Here are a few up-dated pictures with the radiator installed. I had a radiator for a F-body but it was a little to tall and hung down about 3" so I went ahead and ordered one from Griffin. It fits really good but it looks like my inner-cooler is a little crooked so I will have to get that straightened out.

This weekend I'm going to weld in a tubular radiator support and then the motor will be coming out. Hopefully Dustin will have time to paint the engine bay next week, while it is being painted I'm going to install the heads and cam. I have a few things left to order so hopefully I can get everything done over the Christmas holidays and get it to tuning in the early part of January.
