Water Coming Out Of Exhaust Manifold Bolt Holes??
umm guys is this right? i filled my 2000 5.3 with coolant and water yesterday and my headers arent tight, i went outside this morning to find water under the jeep. its coming out of at least 2 i think 3 bolt holes in the head where the header bolts into?? is this normal, are we just supposed to use some sealer in there??

I saw the same thing on one exhaust manifold bolt hole on a new set of GM heads. Must be slight core shift on some castings.
Like mentioned, make sure bolts are not too long, and thread seal the weaping ones (could do all if wanted). You can pressure test the cooling system after all buttoned up to make sure no leaks.

so the likelyhood that the head is cracked is slim? i oredered a harness from speartech yesterday and had to tell John to hold off, in case i need new heads, i might just go buy a 6.0 DBW motor and be done with it. how can i check to see if cracked?
