Doesnt seem to be a perfect spot for it, I still have to order that and a fuel system for mine, and a powerglide.... and wheels, man it never ends... I like it, nice little project.

Well the car has gone 10.41@130MPH. This was on a pretty poor track surface causing Damon to have to leave off of the footbrake. We should start racing this car again at Armdrop Live at Houston Motorsports Park February 13-14. Below are some pics of the car as it sits now.
The picture below is missing Bobby Bates. Without him the car would have never made it to Memphis.
This car has just been alot of fun. So far, it has been extremely reliable, runs low 10s, and gets 15 MPG with the powerglide and 4.11 gears.
Not too bad for an old piece of SCRAPmetal!!!

Track Update
We have been racing “Scraps” for about three weeks now. The car had been running 10.30s all day, every weekend with a best 60’ time of 1.51.
This past weekend Damon made some suspension adjustments to try and get the car to leave a little better. It finally broke the 10.30 mark by running:
10.27@131 The 60’ foot time was a 1.54.
This was done with our LS7 427 SS crate engine, on a DOT tire, through the mufflers, and fully registered and inspected. If Damon could have fit his wife, two kids, and the dog in the car, he would’ve driven it the 80 mile round trip there and back. We think that there is more in the car and are hoping to be in the 10-teens soon…we’ll see.
We plan on racing the car for the rest of the season and trying to put this crate engine to the test.
I'll try to keep this thread up to date with progress with the car.
