The shifter is BAD ***. Its just at dash height!!
and I love the truck but its just a stepping stone in life I think. Im leaving now to go pick it up and drive it around.....!!
I noticed one thing on the way over to the interior shop though, it wouldnt shift into overdrive, Im going to check and see if the linkage is still tight and everything. If not I'll have to run out to a trans guy to have him figure it out. And yes there is the right amount of fluid in the trans.

Is it not shifting into overdrive or is the converter just not locking up?

K had the truck hooked up to the computer at the trans shop, ran perfect and everything, said there is a little whine but nothing to be worried about. I messed with the linkage when i got home and found a little play so I redid it and now it shifts fine.
Been driving to work the last couple days since this cold weather is coming in thought i'd get it out of my system!
Thanks guys. Hope to get some more stuff done this winter.

I used Dolphin gauges, I would not suggest them. Their quality is not up to standard, and the programming sounds easy but is difficult if you have already mounted them.
I suggest Autometer's that are specific for these trucks.
and I didn't do the wiring on the truck, Meanyellowz from here did. But most gauges come with the sensors and then you have to get the proper adapters or splice them into the harness I'm guessing.

check Ebay if your love is that strong!! yup put it up there since ebay is free and if it sells then it sells, if not im going to drive the hell out of it this next year. maybe I can stop the urge to buy new projects if I'm driving it.
