What CC are your heads with the 0.025 mill?

I have checked. Shawn and Ed at VA speed are making some pretty wicked numbers. I do not want to flycut though

Iv been talking with charlie @ RPM and Rick @ Livernois about cam profiles. all the numbers all seem to be in the mid to low 23xs at around .590-.600 lift.

Some swear by the "big split" some dont. *shrugs*

What are your plans for your setup anyway? spray or boost?
With 0.025 mill, it brings them to around 68cc IIRC. I went on the recomendation of West Coast Cylinder Heads for that. My static cr is 11.2:1. Lift on this cam is .585/.585 and I'm using Patriot Gold valvesprings. I'm also running REV stainless valves. They're a few grams heavier than stock but I'm not really pushing the valve lift with this cam so I'm not too worried about that.

The degree of split with these heads varies greatly depending on the exhaust flow of the port work. Increase the port flow on the exhaust runner, and you don't need a big split. If you're running a stock un-ported head I'd go with more dur on the exhaust side.

The direction the car goes greatly depends on the job market at this point. I'm not working at the moment, but I had plans for a 427 stroker rotating assembly, single plane intake, 4 barrel style TB and direct port nitrous kit for this coming winter mods. But,,,,, I might have to enjoy what I currently have for the time being.....

I just got done putting a VVT 6.0 iron block LY6 into my 94 Firebird Formula. What tach adapter did you use with your stock cluster? I was thinking of using the Autometer 9117.

The tach output wire/pin wasn't present on my e38 ecu (just wasn't there at all). The tach signal is computed and sent over Low Speed GMLan to the cluster normally, so it had to be added.

edit2: I corrected my statement.

Looks like u got the newer bmr kmember, thats good. all i have to say i watch out for this kmember!!!! Not so much the newer one's as the older bmr kmebers because My friend has broken to of them already. and since they wher the older modles, bmr wouldnt replace them!!!! Real big hasle and very dangerouse in my opion.
The first one broke on a mid 10's 99 camaro. broke right where the a-arms hook up on one side.
the second broke on his high 11's tran am. wasnt driven hard at all and it broke at the center cross bar, on the welds and the bar broke itself, just when we got bake from a 90mi. road trip. the whole passenger wheel was free from the kmember! only the ti-rod end held the wheel to the kmember!!!
im not trying to nock bmr, they are a good company, but i think u should know this cuz i think i dangerous!!!!!!

The 96 will be easier than a 93. You can check out the link in my sig for my 97 swap.

Hey,...I'm in the infancy of a swap...just bought a 95 Z and have a LS1 from a 2000 Z. Give me a run down on the basics I will need. I know I will need a rack and pinion, instrument cluster and i already have the cradle from the 2000. Just trying to get a list together. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!

This thread pretty much covers all aspects of the swap with parts needed etc. It's really a pretty straight forward install. As far as swaps go, this is probably the easiest of all.

If anyone has specific questions that aren't covered in this thread, feel free to pm me. I don't get in here to check this thread very often anymore.

I've done this before from start to finish, it's pretty straight forward. This thread basically details the whole process.

I have a 94z28 and a Corvette LS1, how much modifying will I have to do to the LS wiring harness? More than if I just got a LS Camaro harness?

I'm just curious about the obd1 to obd2 conversion for a pre 97 firebird. How do you go about putting the obd2 plug in the cab for troubleshooting and such? Is there an adapter or something?

My swap is happening right now. I am putting in a 427 CI LS7.
Great information on this thread.
What did you do with the EVAP Cannister purge line?
I am thinking of plumbing it to the Intake.
Suggestions?

Thanks

I have a 97 WS6 LT1 6-speed. I would like to put in a stock used LS6 maybe the 405 hp one. Does anyone have any experience with this swap? What if I plan to use the donor's computer, brackets, accessories? Does anyone know of any issues I might run into?
