how do i clean this

i have a 98 TA and i know that the top was never really washed using any top protectant or anything. original owners were my parents. so how do i get this black stuff off the top. looks like ground in dirt or mold. any suggestions???

i got the same thing going on on mine. seems like it has become worse in the last few months. does it seem like its coming up from under the fabric?
i'm convinced i just need to replace the top.

I have the same thing mine has a black top, and that dirt line makes it look dirty and old. I have the raggtop cleaner, and i used it before and it cleaned a tiny spot from it but not the whole thing. Maybe im just not using it right!
