The bows are the pieces of metal that you can feel going across the car top between the front edge and the rear window. I think there are three of them about a foot apart each. The rear bow is the last one and is about six inches above the rear window. Your canvas top has pieces of material called listings that attach to these bows and hold the top down when you are at speed. The listings on the first two bows are glued to the bows and also clamped in place by attachments from your headliner. The listing on the rear bow is stapled in place on the bow. That rear listing should keep the rear of the top from pulling too far forward. Keep in mind that the canvas top is a separate piece from the rear window curtain. The window curtain is attached to the rear bow with a vinyl piece that slides into a groove on the bottom edge of the rear bow.

You may be able to fix it if the listing is not too far gone, but chances are that if it is pulling loose like that the listing is either ripped up or rotten. If anyone wants to give it a try, post here and I will type up some instructions. Glueing the canvas to the window as suggested above may work, but it would take some mega-strong glue to last.

Btw, I am speaking about convertible fbodys. That is the only type I have any knowledge of. And I only know this because I just replaced my top on my 96 TA a couple of weeks ago, so it is still fresh in my mind.
Yeah post up. I saw the listings you were talking about. Its the one closest to the rear window. The top isnt attached to it in any way. I looked in there and just saw a strip stapled to the bow. It was in no way attached to the top, there was just a strip stapled to the bow. I am guessing it is supposed to be attached, but how? I am willing to try it. I am gonna replace it before too long anyway. But if I can get it looking decent again I might wait a little longer. I can get pics if you need me to

mine is doing the same thing. I'm going to replace the top...it's been 10 years and 41k miles so I think it's time. The glass is almost completely seperated from the top and I'm afraid it will fall out at some point, not to mention being impossible to wash or drive in the rain.

If you have already seen the listing and can tell that it is separated from the top, then I don't know anything that will help you. I just meant that I may be able to help provide instructions to remove the rear section of the top to check out the listing. If it was still attached to the top but had come loose from the bow, it could be stapled back down to the bow and may last longer. But if your listing has come loose from the top, then the listing is probably rotted. I don't know of a way to fix that.

Wish I could help.

lol, yeah if I ever get around to it. Kinda low on my priority list too. At some point, I will do something. I will probably have the $ on hand to buy a new one at the same time though, in case the fixing does more harm than good. If its messed up anyway no harm in tinkering to see what works
