Default Wolfe 6pt.

OK, so i have been looking at the Wolfe 6pt roll-cages and wondering how hard they are to install. It would be a bolt-in so that i could do it myself. Im really doing this because this isnt a daily driver anymore and i dont want to have to get kicked off a track after i go cause im getting ready to do H/C and am hoping to run deep 11s. do you need to take out all the seats? What about the carpet? I dont care if it needs to come out, just wondering if it is necessary? Thanx fellas.

Everything has to come out...seats, carpet most trim panels, etc.

Why not have it welded?? It's not very expensive and is more rigid/safer in the end.

I took all of the panels out of the interior to make life easier...plus carpet, plus seats.

timmay from the hideout had a wolfe cage in his vert. He had a bolt in one but ended up welding it in anyway because he accidentally drilled through his brake lines when he installed it. Overall he said it fit great but he always would tell me to get a weld in one if i put one in my vert, which of course i never got a chance to do .

yeah they said it is a total loss but still haven't told me how much they are gonna give me...i actually found a deal on a 99 ta t-top for only $3500 but the mileage is extremely high however since the motor that was in my car only has 40k on it and has arp rod bolts i will probably just buy that car and put my old motor in it, that will save me alot of money

actually i found a 99 vert z 6 speed that looked just like mine but without the bodykit...it is down in suffolk, va and it only has 28k on it but they want almost 10k which i dont feel like paying. I may get into a hardtop 01 z with 67k on it for $8500. Also i will probably be selling my true duals but i already have a few people that want them

You dont have to take the seats out of your car to put the 6 point in! I didnt take any of my inside pannels out either. Cages for verts are different than ones for coupes. For the back seats, just fold them down. You do have to cut the carpet though.

I have a wolfe bolt in 6 point in my car, but I have a t-top car. I know the vert bars are a little different. I pullled all the interior out of my car when I installed the roll bar. I prolly didn't have to, but I wanted to make sure when I had the rear down bars welded to the main hoop, no welding sparks hit the interior parts.

BTW, the rear down bars need to be welded to the main hoop to make it NHRA legal.

Where did you find carpet at? All of the aftermarket carpets I have seen arent the full piece of carpet. It only covers the floor pan.

Try stockinteriors.com There are two different cut patterns. One for t-tops and one for hardtops/verts. One is a full length carpet, the other just goes to the hump by the fuel tank.

And why are you doing a bolt-in? What is the point of putting in a roll cage in the first place if you don't want the best roll-over protection? If you're doing it for NHRA rules I believe only weld-ins are legal.
