Not sure if it is called a headliner, but none the less that is what it is; at least in principle and material, lol. I am referring to the little headliner strip just above the windshield, where the sun visors flip onto.
Anyways, mine is a little sagging in the in the middle and beginning to flake on the inside (the fiberboard). Before I go and buy a good condition used one, or even a new one (if they even make them and are not an arm and a leg), is there an ABS, fiberglass or any other good aftermarket option? I Googled it, but only came up with FULL and T-Top options.
Thanks!

I used to have the same problem. I refer to it as the header panel, cause it's right above your head. anyways, I've searched everywhere I could find and there are no replacement options for us.
About a month ago I got sick of it so I pulled it off, i stripped the cheap fabric off, the thing was flaking like bad dandruff lol.
I used some duct tape to hold it together cause it was so ragged out, then I wrapped it in some thick black nogahide, and deleted the visor holes.
It matches the car alot better, and gives a real clean look too.
For us vert guys, DIY is the only replacement option.

I had mine re-covered in black vinyl. Looks great!! I also did the b pillars above the driver and passenger window, as well as the visors, and plastic seat panels on the sides of the seat bottoms (where the seat controls are)

well that sucks, lol. I am going to see if my buddy can do something with my piece. He works with fiberglass so maybe I can get something going for us. No promises, but I will see.

If it is the same piece that I went looking for, I finally got to the Pontiac dealer parts department. According to them, the part number for my 1999 is 10289150 and it has been discontinued. I asked about the same part for a 2000 and the part number is 10410026.
I searched around and found Discounted Rare and Genuine Parts I searched on 10289150 and it found "Convertible/soft top - Interior trim - Wndshld plr trim - Upper
Upper 1997 - 1999"
I have an email into them to see if they have it available. (It is not available from them)
Then I put in 10410026 and it found "Convertible/soft top - Interior trim - Wndshld plr trim - Upper
Upper 2000 - 2002"
Then I tried gmpartsdirect.com and they did not find my part number but they do show the 2000 - 2002 item for $46.03 plus shipping (maybe tax).
