does anyone have a white top?
#43
My car was born with a tan top and interior. Ick. A PO put on an aftermarket white top. I'm in the process of getting the tan out of the interior. I have a build thread going.

I was going to put the red leather in like my 95' had as posted above, and possibly the anniversary stripes in red as well...
I got more compliments on that car, wish i had kept it but glad i got the 88' Gta & 98' Ws6 Vert, I'm now looking for the right red 78 w/ttop.
are you going black, or graphite interior?

I don't know if reviving a dead thread is frowned upon or whatever, but I thought it was interesting. i was surprised how few responders posted pics. I saw that the OP hasn't been on in more than a year, but another is still active. Guess that is common on any type of message board.
The tan color is not repulsive to me, but any interior with no contrast is just dull.
I know new cars are great to drive and fantastic electronics, but I just can't pay $40k+ for a car whose interior looks like a coal mine. In the 60's, Dodge for example, had over a dozen choices of interior color. Now, does anyone have even 4? How costly would it be to throw in an insert keyed to the car's exterior? Jeez.
OK, rant over.
I'm not going black or graphite, per se. I don't think the graphite looks good with my red carpet. I'll soon have black kick panels in, so the only tan left will be the seats and belts. For the seats, I'm sure about contrasting seating surface, either off-white or red. The headrests and surrounding, off-white or red or black, and the belts, either black or to match the seat main color. Fortunately, the tan seats don't turn my stomach, so I can take my time deciding, and see if the car doesn't demand any big $ for other things.
Please see my build thread for pics.
Thanks you guys for responding.

build link..... https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-f...-am-build.html
Since you have the red carpet and door inserts, these would look great
personally not a fan of the headrest embroidery, id go without for a cleaner look

this is what i was planning, with graphite or black carpet and trim

I like what you are planning. Agree on the headrests.
Is the e bayer 6LE? I called them with ? and they never got back to me.
I'm surprised I think it's too busy, I liked the idea on paper. That's why I'm thinking off-white and not bright red for the seating area. Maybe a solid color seat would be better, I already have contrasting carpet and door panels. I was going to have the plastic trim on the seats be black, too. Thanks for opening my eyes.
