Quick tip on storage: leave the top unlatched when garaged, removes some tension from the fabric and keeps it from stretching. Original top at 110k miles on a 14 year old car.

I do the same after I wash it, in fact I put a lil block or rag under the top in the middle to keep it open about an inch or two for a day or so.

I always raise the top about half way after every wash and make sure to dry out all the water that collects along the top of the w/s in the trough area. Water always tends to sit in that area at each outer end. There is a screw head there and it will rust if you don't watch out. Every once in awhile I shoot a little fluid film in the corners to help prevent any rusting and has worked great. Any other tips out there?

Sorry to bring this back from over a month ago guys. I've only washed and dried my convertible top since I've had it for a few years. I've been meaning to get a protectant like the Raggtopp and probably will this year. Also that's a good tip about storing it with the top unlatched to help prevent stretching.

I also really wanted to ask, HAWKVERT and 99'CajunFirehawk157 especially, but anyone else too, what car covers are you using in those pictures and are you happy with them? As with a lot of us, my car is stored in my garage in the winter and I have a car cover but it's from an '84 trans am I had previously that got totaled (otherwise it would have went with the car if I had sold it). It doesn't fit right, but has worked for a couple years to get me by. I've really been wanting to get a new cover and those look nice. Thanks.

I just wash mine with the soap I wash the car with. I make sure to wash the top first before washing the car. And rinse it very well. I have used Raggtop once, but probably need to use it again. Orriginal top, 13 years old. My car stays inside, never outside overnight. Get out there and drive those verts boys! Just went over 100k! (everything is new of course)

And I have a California car cover. I generally dont cover it, unless I am going to be gone for a while.

Don't have a pic on this computer, but I use a cover from Covercraft. I like to call it a "car condom".

Has anyone tried canvas tent protector. I can`t see why it would not work unless it would make the black canvas bleed it`s colour. It also has uv protector in it.

Why experiment when there are products designed specifically for our car's material, like RAGGTOPP out there? Is it cheap?
