Default Top seperated from bow..

has anyone had this problem? i have the issue with the window seperating but its temporarily under control. after recent trips up to orlando with friends i have been informed that my top looks like a parachute going down the highway. has anyone had thi issue? i took it to a convertible shop but they informed me i had to replace the whole top.
thanks

Cant say that I have had that part come loose on my old top but you should look into replacing the top anyways since your window curtain is having issues as it is.
The strip that holds the rear part of the top that you are describing can probably be repaired but you have to remove the rear curtain etc to access it so why not just look into getting a new top if you can afford one.
Its really not that hard to do yourself, just time consuming.

Either way good luck man our tops can be a pain in the *** sometimes!

Yea I was looking into it and the prices aren't bad. I'm just worried about installation, not so much about the time consumption but more so of the quality as far as making sure nothing leaks etc.

On my old Caprice one of the webs had separated from
the underside of the top. I used 3M marine adhesive
(white, fast cure) to reattach it and so far, so good.
I wouldn't get that stuff anywhere near a black fabric
but expect that the black windshield adhesive would
do just as well. Relieve the tension, remove any old glue
and give it a try?

How the headliner comes off, I dunno.
