2002 Trans Am 56,513 miles
If you drive your car very little or only on weekends. -------> I just switched insurance to Hagerty thru my allstate rep. If you drive less than 5000 miles a year it will drop your insurance price in half. (Full coverage with 0 deductable)

Hey, we have 30 on the poll after just one week. Glad to see you 'vert owners still out there. We'll see how many more as time progresses. The poll is open for a few months to get those infrequent posters. Thanks for participating!

I bought my '02 Z28 last October and it had 5730 miles on it when I drove it home. I'm the 3rd owner and hopefully last owner.
This weekend had it out, and went over 9200 miles on it.
I love driving it!

The mods are killing you. Those very low miles would normally have that gorgeous car sold in a heartbeat at that price. Unfortunately for you, many (not all) buyers looking for convertibles want 'stock' examples. They just want to cruise in their 'verts and they feel completely satisfied with the factory setup. That demographic of buyers includes many in the middle age and older group that shy away from modded cars, fearing abuse, even if not warranted. I am in that group as well. If I was in the market I would be seriously considering your Z28 if it was mostly 'stock'. As is, I wouldn't be calling you. Your mods are limiting the car to basically just younger males only, probably the smallest market with the least money, certainly not having $14k or $15k cash to spend, never mind trying to get a loan on an 11 year old car. This is going to be a really tough sale, and it is a shame for such a nice ride. I wish you the best!

Thank you for your comments. I believe you to be absolutely correct . However, they are just bolt-ons and the car drives like stock. The car has not been abused (I have a race car), just wanted to step it up a bit. It is quite a sleeper. BTW I'm 54 yo.

You are very young at heart. I gave up on mods when I was in my 30's. It's funny, sometimes I get the urge to modify but then my 58 year old brain says, "no, keep it stock". Sorry, I'm getting with my own thread.
Best of luck with your sale!

This might be a silly question, how do you vote?

It should be right at the top of this thread before the 1st comment. 4 choices. Just click on the one that applies.

That's impressive mileage. How has the top and mechanism held up over all those miles?

Just got one of those 26. 29xxx on the odometer.

An SLP, CME and it looks like it just came "out of the box". Always garaged with a car cover and blankets...favorite spot for the cats to sleep.

Will look good next to my black SLP,CME 85xxx miles...the cars were actually delivered on the same day, same dealership.
