Rear shocks

My f body mechanic told me it was a 1/2 hour to throw the rear Billsteins in my car w/o realizing the vert is different. He said it was a nightmare & there is absolutely no room to work so I cut them out. He didn't charge me a penny more & the car rides great but that was his last vert for rear shocks. He is amazing & has a lift. Just wanted to pass it along. Enjoy some top down weather.

Just a case of not having the right tools. Need a ratcheting box end at a minimum or pass through socket set. Worst thing for someone who has never done them is finding the damn tops ha ha.

I bet they would have helped lolol. Now if someone who doesn't know about those handy little tools & they are about to diy w/ your help they won't have the same nightmare.

Thanks for the info. I still have the originals with 34k miles on the car. Not sure how long they will last but the ride is real good.

Huh?! THe Vert and Coupe rear shocks are a BREEZE to install! I installed mine myself in both (fronts too, but much more work there). Nobody should pay to have them done! Clearly this mechanic is wet behind the ears!
