Replacement top material

Replacement top material New to the convertible side of F-bodies, just picked up an 01 SS Vert that used to belong to my late best friend. The top is in need of a replacement, and it appears the best available option would be the Haartz Stayfast top. My question is does anyone know much about Twillfast and its variants? It seems to be a higher end material from Haartz than the Stayfast. I was eyeballing the Twillfast RPC material but I can't find a source for the raw material. Anyone know if this is even feasible? Is this something I could have a shop do if it's even possible for them to order the material? Any info whatsoever on this is GREATLY appreciated, thank you!

I'll just say this for the Haartz material. It is a wise choice. It can't be beat in my book. I'm on year 13 with my T/A and it still is in very good shape. No tears, no thread issues, and the rear window is solidly attached. Even in taupe (tan), the color is still decent. If it was black it would be outstanding even after all this time. Speaking of black, my old '95 911 also had the Haartz material. I sold it about 3 years ago and it was still fine after 16 years. My current Haartz top GT/CS, although just 7 years old, is still 'like new'. For me, and others, the key is upkeep (RAGGTOPP protectant) and being in a garage. I know RAGGTOPP is pricey (over $20 a can) but it works amazing. Water just beads off the Haartz material and gets you extremely long life for the top. Enjoy your new ride!!

Appreciate it man. As far as the Haartz material goes, I'm assuming you're referring to the Stayfast material specifically?
When I do this I'm planning on a decent overhaul including the new top, rear glass window (not plastic), new pads, spring cables and whatever else is needed.

I was wondering who you were. I'm pretty sure the Haartz Stayfast is the original top material on my Trans Am. I'd have to look up the 911 and Mustang but do know it was Haartz for certain.
