Default Weird mark

I don't know how but this could be a wear mark, the nice people at Meguiars were stumped. I cleaned the top with their Ragg Top cleaner but it did not come out.. Anyone ever see this mark?

Maybe its just me, but I don't see a photo of any mark. I'll check this thread when I get home.

If you can see the picture of the top there is a white line going across it where the belt molding is.

So it's a wear mark, any idea how this happens?

Probably friction from rubbing, I have seen vinyl do that from heat, I used a hair dryer on it lowest heat setting and removed the discolored area, it brings the oils back to the surface.

Wow, I've never seen this before. I'm sure your hair drying method is not going to work on floor so I guess I'm just going to leave it.

I see the photo now. Looks to me like water got in while the top was down and dried up leaving the stain. I'm pretty sure that end is down and the top folds back over the window when the top goes down creating a pocket along that cross-bar to catch water. I'd try a good soapy canvas cleaner and a bristle brush.

I thought it was a wear mark but you might have a good point. I thought I remember trying to use raggtopp cleaner on it but maybe I'll just need to check with a detail guy once the call comes out of hibernation.

I think it's a wear mark and no cleaner will help it, maybe some type of dye would work but I'm afraid to try that. Make sure you try a tiny spot first before you have a disaster. I recently saw one with the same mark and I tried raggtopp cleaner from Hartz, a stayfast convertible top manufacturer. Good luck and please post how you make out.
