Default How much room do I have?

Is there any space between the floor pan area behind the rear seat and the glass for the convertible when the top is down? Also, how far down does the glass go?
I would like to try and make something like this picture for my convertible. Is there room for me to put a self tapping screw towards the bottom? It will definitely have to be more narrow to not interfere with the seat belts and shorter not to interfere with the top going down. Any ideas?

This would most like be a better idea - plus it knocks down buffeting:

That's a great price compared to love the drive which is over 400 bucks. I really want to try and make this lexan piece first because I like the look better. It probably will not be as functional but that's not an issue. Anybody know any clearance problems?

The idea is to use the lexan piece on this blocker.

I'm used to the wind buffering and my hair left decades ago lol. I think it will look great as long as it looks as good on the car as it does in my head. I'm trying to make sure I don't need a convertible top as well If the window breaks.

Looks to me like if you attach the Lexan to the back of the 'vert's rear seat, you would be clear of the rear glass going down since it sits behind the rear seat when down. Just don't have anything extending into the well where the top (and rear glass) folds into as that could cause breakage. Start w/ a cardboard template of what you show in the picture and cut it down as required as the top lowers (might not have to modify it at all).

To see how close the glass gets to the bottom of the top well when down, just lower the rear seat back and reach in to see. There's not much room.

Thank you, that's exactly what I'm going to do.
