49,000 Typical leaks. Idle's funny perodically, probably due to the aftermarket MAF. No other issues.

29,000 miles. 2 Tranny rebuilds(cause of restricter inline which is gone.) 3- 12 disc changers stock (just quit), radio/A/c trim piece, top button trim, ash tray door in console, both front speakers-twice, pinion seal, Hurst oil leak, engine oil use solved by me.

2001 SS Vert with 31000 miles . I had to replace the vert motor fluid cause it was not wanting to go back up so I did that and it works fine now. The black liner in the top of the car has had one of the straps snap on the side. Not a biggie but its a lil more wrinkled than my passenger side. Other than those two things everythings fine.

I've got 77,xxx, am the second owner of 99 z28 with m6 - blew front door speakers, replaced myself - rear axles and bearings had to be replaced 2,000 miles ago. Replace front and rear shocks/struts, but in STB and bolt-in SFC's, but car still rattles over washboard roads.
Fun to drive, still haven't had gas floored yet, chirped in 2nd and 3rd though!! Got ton's of power with minor mods (hooker catback, Free ram air, K&N air filter and lid. It was a real pain to change the #8 plug (my hands are too thick and short - my son was able to do it with no problem, with knees up on battery). Working on engine while still on car is a real challenge.
Despite these few problems, I absolutely love driving with the top down, and can't see having a car that's not a drop top. Have had no problems with top, wash the car myself at home, little water leaks into windows, but just enough to spot, no drips.
That's all I can think of.

98 Z28 with 78,000 miles. Only problems to date:
1. window motor replaced ( warranty )
2. leather on drivers seat worn / ripped ( seat covers )
3. aftermarket speakers and amp cut out ( need to fix )
It's been one of the best cars I've ever owned.....amazed I haven't broken anything expensive yet.

You guys do know that it says in the owners manual not to take a vert into the car wash right. Of course it's going to leak if you have jets of water shooting right at the seals!

Ok let's see my cars problems:

Top got jumped on and is bent. Doesn't look or seal right now. Still goes up and down fine though.

I rearended someone and replaced the front bimper cover and passenger fender with cheap aftermarket parts. Doesn't look right. I'm going to replace these someday with OEM parts.

Synchros in transmission are bad. It grinds going into 2nd.

Rear pinion seal leaks. Still haven't got around to fixing that.

Transmission mount went bad. I heard a banging sound when launching hard or shifting quick. Fixed.

Rear shock is bad. I hit the pothole of all potholes. Now I hear loud noise every time I go over a bump with that wheel. At least I hope this is the shock.

SES light is permanetly on because of longtubes.

Exhaust leaks like crazy because of crappy fittment with QTP headers and catted Y-pipe

Paint is craked on trunk lid. I think this is because of someone pulling up on the trunk on the side instead of in the middle.

Passenger side window goes up slow as molasses (sp?)

Blew drivers side front speaker and replaced it, 2 days later the passenger side one blew! It's still blown, I'm waiting to upgrade to some aftermarket stuff now.

Numerous other dents, dings and squeeks and rattles!

Other than that she's like new!!

2000 43K. Plastic housing on drivers side seatbelt broke. Windows are slow but still work. Top is slow, but too busy to change fluid.

I think a front hub needs to be replaced. Probably due to road racing on 315mm tires.

2000 Z28, 2nd owner, daily driver. Just turned 98757 miles (yesterday! Bought with 36k on the odo).
Mods:
SLP Y and cat back
cut out
Hotchkiss STB
Adj. Panhard
BMR LCA's
S/T Front sway bar
ZR1 9.5 and 11's

Minor problems:

1 roof motor-replacced under warranty
1 passenger side window motor-replaced under warranty
1 Rotor (my fault).
The strap on the passenger side of roof broke - fixed

Noticed some kinda of pin (cotter pin or ?) on the strut, pasenger side of roof (on the side at the flex point) was pressing against the top. Fixed with duct tape and a pad inside

The damned dealer broke my door panel at the handle (grab bar) while "fixing" the window.

And yes, if I use a pressure washer or it rains like *****, the driver side window (roofline) leaks.

Otherwise, snug as a bug in a rug (lol)

I love this car!

The kind comments from random strangers are fun too.

Oh this thread is about convertible problems....
ya, pressure washer makes it leak at the windows. I don't drive it in bad weather anyway and now just wash it by hand.
The only other problems are associated with buying way too many car related products (cleaners, accessories, etc.) and finding a place for them all!
Oh one other problem, I bought the car and my new girlfriend at the time was quite jealous, then I broke it off with here and she was yelling something about not being able to have baby camaros...so ya my car got me yelled at!

1. The rivet that holds the gas cap lanyard came out--fixed myself
2. One of the key fobs quit working--waiting to replace prior to warranty expiration.
3. The driver's side front seat belt retractor needs help reeling in the belt--same fix as #2.
4. Small water leak on driver's window when driving fast in the rain.

I don't think that is too bad for a 3 year old 30k mi. daily driver that is driven like it was stolen.

prolly almost 100k on it, and it's just starting to leak around the front edge of the windows/top seam
Not other convertible specific issues. Top still works fine (I don't even want to think how many thousands of times it's been up and down. It doesn't puff up at speed either. I did have the bows tweaked a few years back under wanrranty though, it shifted slightly to the Driver Side when putting it down, and scuffed the Sail Panel.
LOTS of shitty Pontiac build quality issues though (OF COURSE)

You've closed it repeatedly at highway speeds????? Holy **** I wouldn't have had the ***** to try that. I only do it under 10 or 15 mph. Figure it'd probably even handle more but highway speeds, good to know. I hope your not just baiting people to break their tops ha!

71k- Just the basic stuff has needed to be replaced. Battery, rotors, pads, tires...
HaHaHa....a few sets of tires!
I did blow the driver's side door speaker so i replaced both front speakers at the same time, made a big difference when driving with the top down.
My tan top is starting to show alittle bit of dirt, age, wear, stain where it meets the seal of the trunk lid. And you can only see that with the trunk open.
This is my first vert, and i have enjoyed her more than any car i have ever owned.

99 Z28 with 28k on it. Had 1 blown front speaker. Exhaust has a flange that is loose and rattles sometimes. Otherwise a great car.

Sold my 95 LT1 vert last summer with 78k on it. Very reliable with the exception of a blown A4 tranmission and a slow window motor.
