top goes up but not down

top goes up but not down i tryed to put my top down today it went down a littile then stoped but it wnat back up and i try to put down the top again and nothing happened.when i push the power button up the top motor makes noise but when i push the power button down i get no noise.i hope someone can help.

Jeff,
Check for leaks and check your fluid level in the motor in the trunk on the drivers side. Mine did the same thing so I added more fluid to it and it works fine now. Do a search on here and you'll find posts on it. Hope that helps some

If you hear nothing in the one direction at all then it sounds electrical. In the direction that works does it seem normal? If you were low on fluid the motor speed goes way up when it pushes air instead of fluid. The fact that it works in one direction makes me think the motor is fine. At the motor you can jump power to the motor and check its operation in both directions.
