Default Question on BMR SFC

Well I got my SFC connectors at Speed Inc and they installed them. They did a great job and even had a couple of tests drives of the car with me to help find a clunk coming from rear. Found out it was the back bolts of the control arms (which they did not touch). They tightened everything up and no clunks driving the 50+ miles going home.

They did a nice jobs on the welds, cleaned things up and painted the welds. Great job by Rob.

Now my question, they did not weld the area by the control arm bolt. Is this really necessary? Just curious who else has these SFC and if their's are welded back there.

I can't see where welding that up would help.

That is what I thought. Just wanted to see what others may have done. BMR's web-site shows welds. But like you said "can't see where welding that up would help", I would have to agree. Maybe just a pre-caution by BMR for people that do not tighten the bolts correctly.

Not too sure if I am doing this correctly, but see my append here. The work was done about a month ago and I am still very pleased with the results.

I guess I got lucky with the price.........$60 for the welding. Love how the BMR SFC tuck up and are barely visible. Mine did not get welded by the LCA's either just the 3 tabs on each side got welded, with the suspension loaded.
