14.004 Wtf???

Default 14.004 Wtf???

I just got back from the track here is my best slip..
60' 2.195
330 6.007
1/8 9.138 @ 79.28
1000 11.785
1/4 14.004 @ 101.55

I just changed the plugs a month ago and the car seems to run fine.(2.73 gears/ A4) My 2-3 clutchpack is definetely gone but I dont think this is the problem. This was with the cutout open and street tires @ 22 psi (another run 14.035 @ 101.45 on 26psi). I know my car is a little heavy since it is a vert. I took the spare and jack out. What the hell is wrong with my car?

Answers in auto section, but i dont think its a bad time at all..esp if you got 2.73 and auto.. remember verts are 400 lbs more than t tops..

400 lbs???? No way. I weighed mine with 1/4 tank of gas with the spare and jack in the trunk and me NOT in the car.......exactly 3,500 lbs.

14.04 @ 101?? What is the temp and elevation? Bone stock my car ran 13.5@105 with 3.23s here is South Florida. I'd get a scanner and check to see if you're getting knock retard. The knock sensors in 1998 have been known to have problems thus tripping false knock. When the computer sees this knock it retards timing. I can personally vouch that when something similar happened in my car (I accidently pinched the knock sensor wiring) the car would not trap higher than 104(the car usually trapped @108).

Also, the best times were both powerbraking. 1 to 1500 and 1 to 1800. The first pass was without powerbraking, I ran a f'n 14.3 @ 100.4. My transmission mount is most likely broken too. ( I dont know if this would have any effect on my ET's though) How big of a difference can clogged cats or a bad fuel filter make?
