Roll Bar owners inside (Question on install)
Roll Bar owners inside (Question on install) Here shortly, I should receive my bolt in Wolfe 4-point roll bar. I am curious how you guys cut the carpet in the back around the floor board and will I be able to make the install with the carpet look like a factory type install. I do alot of shows and need the carpet to look nice around the floor. Can you guys post any pics of what yours look like on the rear seat floor board. And where did you make the cut to wrap the carpet around the roll bar? Any info/pics would be great.

I wish I would have done mine differently....I kinda cut the carpet too much. I should have taken the carpet up, installed the cage, then cut the carpet. But I plan on getting new carpet anyways.....
I actually set the roll bar on the carpet, and made a mark where the cut needs to be. Removed the bar, made the cut from the edge of the carpet to the bar and made a small X where the bar would be located at. Pulled the carpet back and intalled the roll bar. Then made small cuts around the bar to get the carpet to lay flat. It made me nervous, that for sure.

The two front bars need to be drilled as well if you get the 6pnt. I opted for the 4 pnt. So much easier to get in and out of.

wat plastic cover?im on a hard decision because i need a rollbar but i need it be nhra legal but then my car is a daily driver as well.wat are y option i was looking into a 6pt with swing outs but i dont think its legal and nethier is a 4 pt right?

depends on your track. my track is going to pass me in tech with a 4 point, but NHRA rules say you need at least a 5 point (as pictured in the rulebook). swingouts are legal as long as they are made by a reputable company (im sure thats pretty lenient as well), but the removeable rear bar is not nhra legal.
how serious do the track officials take the center bar? Meaning, if you have a removeable piece, how far should i go into hiding it with padding to avoid not getting track approved?
