Default Paddle Part #?

Im looking for the part # on the paddles that keep the vert top latched. My spring gave out and I ended up destroying the smaller portion trying to get it to work. Anyone have this part # for the whole assembly?

I have a 93-02 parts manual. If I knew the name of it that would make searching through 1,395 pages of part easier, lol.

Here's the exploded view of the latch...

The latch assembly is part number 10284234. GM LIST: $287.04 GMDirect: $169.35 I'm pretty sure that includes all the parts shown (for that price, it better!), except maybe the rubber pad #57 which only costs about $4.

I looked on ebay just for the latch and found none. Have you thought about calling around to junkyards and maybe come across a vert and take the latch?

Sorry... got sidetracked.

#52 Spring doesn't have a part number... it's part of #7 assembly.
You may have to fabricate something or search Home Depot(?)

#54 Push Button is year/color dependent. For 00-02 it's 10431844.
GM LIST: $4.43 GMDirect: $2.61

This info is from a Camaro parts list, but should be the same for Firebird.
What year do you have?

Here's a picture of #7...
Exploded view #7

And here's the p/n descriptions & breakdowns...

no54
They're a little grainy, but my original is the same.
