they "meaning the maufac." will tell you that if you push down hard enought on it that it will bend. Why would you want something that will really be pointless. I was goig to put the same thing on my till they told me that. But thats just me. also the light bar on mustangs is more round and the mustang is a little smaller in side, thats whty it looks good on them.

Does the light bar count as the roll bar? At least that's what it looks like to me. If and when I do what I plan to do, I'll be forced to get a partial cage or a roll bar. The tracks state when you run faster than a 13, you need a helmet...faster than like a 12.5 and you need a roll bar...faster than a 12 and you need a full cage...at least it's something a long those lines. I plan to run in the LOW 12's...go turbo!

6pt. rollbar is required for modified 'verts running faster than 13.49. As is a helmet.

Yeah the 99 ws6 vert I just bought came with a light bar, i pretty much hate it. It's kind of hard to see what it really looks like, but here's the auction pics:

I think the light bar gives the illusion of a targa top, which I like, but the ones I've seen for the Fbody's are too narrow and need more forward rake.

It's still just an appearance item... so it's up to personal choice. Hell, I have a Windstop on mine, and I know what many people think of that. But I'm not giving it up.

I don't mind the idea of a light bar, but I wish it was more "designed" to the car, with some shape and curvature, like the one for the rustangs . . . That thing looks like three 2x4's mitered, screwed together and wrapped in vinyl . . .

Granted it is pointless structurally, but could have looked good . . .
