Whats your mod list? I find it hard to believe that you have a stock internal LT1.....so what do you have

This car has 120,000 miles on it, stock bottom end, stock heads and stock Cam, convertible LT1, untouched motor, stock airbox and basically no bolt on's.

mod list.
It has a Moser 9" with 430 gears and Detroit locker, Pacesetter long tube headers open, Spec stage III clutch and throttle bottle bypass nx 150 shot. but that is about it on the car.

I ran a 12.6 @ 110 full race wieght +me(112kg) and spare tire and book bag full of books and laptop. I was also in the 10 a/f ratio. Mods are in sig. Yes I know my times are pathetic for what I have but I'm working the bugs out.

here is my timeslip :)

2001 Trans Am Pewter colored. 3.23 Gears mods below.

90 degree heat about 60-80% humidity at bowling green kentucky.

a storm front was coming in lol.

i had spare tire and jack removed. on fuzion ZRI street tires nothing special about them about 90 bucks a piece. i had 3/4 full tank of gas i goofed up their :P this also was with my car heat soaked from driving an hour from fort campbell kentucky. i drove their took a piss and ripped this run on my very first try.

my 4 run later that evening was a 13.019 but i cant find the timeslip.

i have pace setter long tueb headers/ TSP true dual exhaust and TSP airlid. nothing else dont to my car. im running it again tommorow in some 70 degree weather and im looking to break into the 12s and mabe gain another mph. that would have to put me as one of the quickest verts for my mods.

would like a 102 octane race gas help me any?

OHYEA my car isnt tuned. so im probly slower than what i should be. i know im running rich.

Better air will help you more than any gas cept nos LOL

you probably lost maybe 2 tenths due to air conditions.

I have the same mods as you running with drag radials and i pull 12.5's
Get a 12 bolt though before you get those stickies. Dont say i didn't mention it......Boom is all that your hear rom your rear end if you do.

Chit i was pulling front tires on 13.0 runs when i had my 10 bolt and stickies. I will change my avatar for the pic.

10.70@125........3590 race weight...NA Carbed 1st Gen. 383ci.....

car should run 10.4's next time out in the cool weather.....then its time for the nitrous...

LSTBRED 08-28-2006 05:08 PM

First outing ever, blah!.........I used 4 gears and spun in 3. The track was so crappy, I got sideways in second, I got 3 runs in 4 hours!! besides the waiting......waiting....waiting.......I had a lot of fun! got a great reaction time but spun shortly after..............did I mention waiting? I guess I will have to go out and practice more :)

got a new best yesterday 8/24/06

1/4- 13.46@105mph

60'- 2.07

best of all this was on 18 inch sumitomos and my subs and jack and spare in the trunk..I also cut a 2.05 and 2.06 60' but for some reason my 1/4 times were slower on those runs

00Camary 09-25-2006 09:49 AM

IMO you should be running better times than that since you have the headers and duals. Do you have other basic bolt ons or only those mods?

I have other boltons but for some reason it doesn't feel like my car got any quicker from the headers and true duals..i think i really need a tune but since i may be getting H/C soon i will wait on the tune

took me so long to find my timeslip. i could have broke 12s easily but i didnt have time to let my car cool down. i drove 2 hours to bowling green and ran this on my 3rd run. and couldnt match it. was 90 degree outside also. and it was without a tune. im sure now i would break under 13 if i got good conditions. i also have ett streets now but my car just boggs off the line because of TQ management.
