If you are going to have black carpet, paint the bars to match the car. Use black padding and a black harness.
I powder coated mine white to match my old car's exterior color. The match was so good that I had one guy ask if ordered the car from GM with the bars in it.

yeah, carpet will be a lite weight piece but black. I hoped to prep/sand and paint-match few of the interior pieces, not too much, to the exterior so i figured that the bars in that color would also look good....
but even my dad, who doesn't like the color black at all, even he suggested to paint them black so tehy match the seat backs, wheels, and top....
ARRGG!!
i remember your vert...did you sell that one?

Looks Good

thanks, funny, sometimes i do think that i have gone a bit to far with it but, for the kind of numbers i intended to run, even at moderate boost, it would be foolish to not have a cage in it.
ITs gonna take some time to get used to it but im sure its gonna be fine..
thanks again fella's, will have a few more in a bit.

camaroholic: really? hmmm... gonna have to try them out for a bit. You still have the same seats? Have you tried using the stock brackets to retain your stock power seats.
the cage was built by Stenod Performance. Hey, Mia, car will get done hopefully by january so until then dude...

I like your 10 point as well. The paint looks great. Did they get the waves out of the doors? All f-body's have them fron the factory and has driven me crazy a 1000 pnt shows. Well now with all that new power, you'll at least be safer! Now its time to sit back and watch the people flock to your ride when its parked. If you had a hard top, very few would ever know you had a cage.

SHAZAM!!!!!!!!!!!
my favorite word: UPDATE!!!!!!
Ok, car is out of paint and in for carpet. Getting a custom stiched carpet that will hug nicely around the bars, not just cut and "hope it fits and doesn't wrinkle"
Got some pics of the car, some more on the way. Body work seems amazing. Color is different to me. Shines differently, more pearl-effect i guess. ?? But its nice. The grill is missing so that needs to be added. Also, the exhaust is the old one without the rear two peice "skirt" valences so that looks diffferent. I kinda like it, looks cool but i might add the one piece valence.
New spoiler looks HOT!! The VHT'D rear lights look good too, need to tell them to do the third brake light as well. Antenna is now GONE!! I hated that thing! Big dent back there and front bumper are looking great so its like a new car to me.
Also, got the coldside, radiator, overflow/fill tank, upper radiator relocated pipe, BOV, and misc. parts from OFI. Looks good. Gonna do a mock-up to see everything is gravy and then i'm powdercoating those aswell. Cannot wait to get it all finally in the car ready for tuning.
Well, here ya go!!
Watcha think?
