Pull down the rear seat and you'll need to look for perforated "accesses" in the carpet. Open them up, pull out the insulation and you should be able to see the bolts.

Is it bolts or a stud w/a nut on the top mounts? And these are located in the rear "shelf" area just behind the seat back, correct?

Stud with nut, you need a small metric wrench to hold the flat on
the stud. I think 7mm but it's been a long while since I messed
with them. If it looks at all rusty then give it some Rust-Eater
and a while to loosen up, the stud-flat isn't much to grip on.
Anti-sieze is when it goes back together.

They're inset in the wall behind the seat, in pockets, and foam
rubber biscuits hide the stud ends.

Exclamation

To undo top studs/nuts on rear shocks on vert fbodies:

1) fold down rear seat, look on both sides for perforated carpet, you WILL need to cut it thru, it is only perforated, cut thru then pull flap back. Pull out foam "silencer" material

(see pics)

2)use small crescent to hold shock stud, use open end wrench on top nut (15mm?), loosen nut. Undo lower stud, remove shock, replace in same fashion. Apx time to do both; 1 hour +/-

(see pics)

This should be stickied at the top of the vert section. I searched forever on here when I did my shocks.

Fronts are easy if you have some good spring compressors. mine sucked and took an hour to compress each side with a wrench

And if the bolts aren't rusted tight where they need to be cut off.

If the front shock, upper nuts arent rusted then you wont need to cut them off...just unbolt. Rears are never rusted.
