Default Need recommendations for replacing stock speakers

Hello all,
Im going to replace my stock speakers in my 98 z28 vert i guess its non monsoon and was wondering what kind everyone goes with.Really concerned about the back speakers not much as sound but speakers that will fit and not interfere with the top.If you had to use a spacer what did you use. Thanks

I notice you have an 01 with monsoon so i guess thats why the 2 ohm infinity worked for you think i will need the 4 ohm.what is the maximum top mount depth speaker we can get by with in the rear seat area on our verts without interfere with the top.Every speaker i pick on crutchfield for the rear says special adapter required. Not sure if that is a spacer adapter or a universal mounting adapter so the all the speaker holes line up.Thanks for all the help so far.Seems the most important speakers in our verts are the fronts what is the best fronts to go with also.

i got alpine type s.. they come with these spacers so you can make them come out more so the bar doesnt clip the back of the speaker...

i had to use 2 of the spacers for each speaker... when you buy the type s it comes with only 2... i had to ask audio express to give me a couple extra and then i just went ahead and did that ****

not sure on the depth thing, but the infinite's came with spacers, so when i do the backs i will be using the same setup, with spacers to get the clearance

I have yet to find any aftermarket speakers for the rear that don't require spacers. Those stock speakers are very very shallow.

There are a couple low profile options available. I know one is made by Infiniti but I can't remember who makes the other.
