To much trouble to loosen lugs plus it takes to much time and I don't want to kill em, just make em feel like I do. Walk around their vehicle with your key dragging on it , be sure to really dig it in good, all the way into the primer / or metal.Oh yeah , and if you have time , while your at it put your key to the w/s glass right in front of the drivers seat so every time the ******* gets in his cage he will see that damn scratch right in front of him in his line of sight. The way I see it the phuckin jerk deserves it.

i havent had any problems at all

except once a kid i know from school put his soda in my sub box (before there were subs in it.. it was a horizontal surface) but they waited to see if i noticed, and see my reaction, and (i assume) to tell me it was there before i drove off and emptied it into my enclosure

My question precisely the day that I bought my cobra. Went to pick it up in Dallas and threw the top down. Was in standstill traffic and a kid threw a toy truck at his brother, which missed and went out the open window into my backseat. Its still sitting on my entertainment center. Keep it as a reminder not to get mad at everything that happens, some stuff is purely accident.

However an ******* that throws a cigar into my car is gonna get dealt with.

Doesn’t bother me a bit to be in the city with the top down, no different then being on a bike or walking IMO. One thing’s for sure, people feel more inclined to talk to you at stop lights….. I handle this by keeping the radio turned up loud when I don’t want to be bothered. As for people throwing trash in my car, I’ve never had it happen, but if it does they better hope I don’t see them do it…… big problem if and when it does happen.....

Wow, I have never had any of this stuff happen with either of my verts. I have never had any worries about driving around the city with the top down. I will need to ignore what you all said next weekend when I take the Camaro down to SF.

When I was down in SF with the olds and the top down in April, you would think people had never seen an olds convert before, I actually kept noticing people taking photos of the car, giving thumbs up, shouting sweet car, etc. and the hotel kept the car right out front by the valet guy the whole weekend didn't put it in the garage which was cool.

Never had to worry about anyone throwing anything at me...thats a new one seriously thought that was just a crotchrocket thing. I will keep it down in the city because it gives me better field of vision, especially in major ones like Chicago where you are moving through traffic pretty quickly. Plus people can see if you are going to change lanes or not and if you get a nice person behind you they'll hook you up.

Rural/Country I do it unless there are a lot of bugs out. That just gets...messy

I'm an attention *****, so the top goes down in my '97 Z unless it's raining hard enough. Let everybody stare at my awesomeness. They're just jealous cause they're stuck in a rolling coffin. I even find my '99 T/A smothering...

It's things like this that make me want to install either machine guns or huge great spikes or something behind my foglights.

Thus far I've been lucky. Two and a half years of a Citroen 2CV, two years of a Miata and almost a year of the T/A, to recount my ragtop history, and no-one's chucked anything in 'em so far.

So far.

I hate when I see a top down and windows up.
Reminds me of some old woman who doesnt want to mess
up the hairdo.
My top stays down and boot an all the time city or country.
I try not to take it out if its going to rain(yeah try and predict
the weather in Fla).
I also leave the top down when parked but turn on the alarm
with a motion sensor inside the console.
Ive tried to "sneak" up on it and put my hand inside but it warns me then
if I pursue it goes off.
I recommend it to every convertible owner as you may fall victim of a cut top.
