6-point roll bar
Ya we all want those things and the moula is the only thing stopping us right.
I just don't like being barred from the track. NHRA rules specify the need for a 5pt. roll bar. So you could save a couple of bucks going that way if you are not hung up on a symetrical look. Since I am looking to get a swingout (and leave it out except for track time. I don't think I will bother with it. The cross bar is needed for NHRA rules. It allows you to mount the 4/5 pt seatbelt to it (which is the biggest reason, as that is also in the rules)
A 5pt roll bar is good until 9.99 in the 1/4 so I think it will sufice for most our needs and then I will take the one run and done if I ever break that mark.
I have an idea but I can't say exactly what they mean by Jig notching, . I will touch base with them tomorrow and find out. and also see if they can make a group buy deal.
The Jig Notching is going to be almost essential. It is the filets cut into the ends of the pipes so that they all fit together and are weld ready when you get them. Otherwise they just send you the bent pipes and a shop has to do that work. Can't say i am impressed by that, but they are still cheaper than having it custom made at any shop. Really that works out to 5 pipes on a 5pt.
They also do not do group purchases. But they do have discounts for their dealer program. I have a buddy who owns a parts store and could do that but it would be limited most likely to guys on the west coast then.

I am thinking of just getting a 4pt now and fabricating my own swingouts. I got a good look at the swingout and it looks really intrusive for a daily driver.
I am still waiting to here back from them. http://www.topofthehillpc.com/
I will keep you posted.
