window pulled away from fabric

window pulled away from fabric

window from my top has detached,,,can it be fixed by a convertible top shop? or do i need a new top? it seems as though glue might hold it,,,thanks

I took my TransAm to a shop that reglued it, but it only lasted 2 weeks. My car had a 2 peice top. I replaced my whole top because it looked a little weathered, but you can replace just the part that holds the glass.

You can replace that little strip? Sweet. I know mine will flap around if I put the top up and drive over 70, that rattling noise from the fabric against the glass can get a bit annoying.

i used windshield sealant on mine 2 months and holding great water tight.

mine came apart after a few 160mph pulls with the windows crack just a lil bit......gorilla tape is working for the moment lol

3M window-weld. Mine was separated at the bottom - both inside and outside.
So far so good for me.

I used this stuff (Scott actually recommended it to me too!) and it worked for me.

Mine didn't actually LEAK, but I wanted to hit it before it leaked and it does seem to work and feel strong.
