Unhappy Allstate declairs car a total loss.....

I got rearended on may 17, car was taken to momentum BMW in houston (allstate recommended). Momentum cut 1/4 of the car off and tried to piece another camaro on to it... they cut from under the driver seat all the way back. After notifiying Allstate of this they sent someone out and counted it as a total loss, due to the actions of Momentum BMW. The car was repairable before those idiots got a hold of it. I got hit by someone who didnt have insurance, a license and it was a hit and run. The guy was chased by civilians and the cops caught up to him 30 mins later and gave him a ticket for no license, he gave false insurance information. Illegal immigrants, lazy cops, and shitty body repair shops destroyed my dream car. On a good note my wife wants me to get an 09 SS. Ill try and post picks before and after accident and repair work.
The car had 36k and was in mint condition before the accident.

tough break. hopefully they will pay you out enough to get another one if you don't feel like waiting until 09. Why was it taken to a BMW dealership anyways?

Illegal immigrants....
It happens more often than you realize.
Another "hidden cost" of having so many in our midst.

Wow, look at the hack job they were doing trying to piece it together!
Incredible, that was at a BMW dealership.

I love the rivets, were they just going to cover up that huge hole with some sheetmetal and hope for the best? Good luck getting that all that taken care of quickly.

hey we can be friends...

I feel your pain...even the same side too

However I got hit by some drunk granny who was looking at my girlfriend's college in CT...thankfully she had USAA and I got decent money for her, but talk about my dreams being shattered.

Hope it goes better, especially when your spouce is all for a new camaro Keep looking up, and dont kill anyone in the mean time.

That made me sick to my stomach just reading that. I can't imagnie how you feel. I probably would have some how gotten ahold of that damn illeagle and shipped his *** back in one piece if he cooperated or as many pieces as I needed if he didn't.

Dawm, that looks like my third gen when I wrecked it. They did that at a dealership, shitty work, if you ask me.

Sorry to see another SS gone.

Hopefully you have replacement cost insurance.
Tell them its irreplaceable. Try and find another
droptop with that low of miles(my 97 has 59K and its been babied)
Since Allstate referred you its all on them. But I would get a good lawyer
and go after the BMW dealer too.
Make sure they lawyer gets fat off only what he makes over and above
the market value.
Why dont you try and buy it back from Allstate.
