Default Help Me Find My Leak!!!

Recently I noticed that when it rains that the rear drivers side floor gets compleatly soaked. Its right where the floor mat would go. None of the areas around it are wet, and theres no dripping leak coming from the top. Under the rear seat is dry, under the drivers seat is dry, even the driveshaft hump is dry. I cant figure out where water would get in to soak just the little floor mat area. Any help would be appreciated....especailly since its supposed to storm for the next 2 days

You might try checking the underside of the car, there is a rubber drain grommet right about where it sounds to be your problem, maybe yours has gone bad or missing, i am not sure how very much water would get into there except maybe off of the tire spray or going through puddles. It is at least a start

It got soaked while the car was sitting. Someone in the general maintenance section said that it came from the grommet under the pcm and ended up puddling in that area. I just ran a wideband wire through there so Ill check that when it stops raining out.

Drop the top about half back and check the drain tube located behind the side panel. I had same problem and was looking at window, seals, and top. One day after a rain I looked down the inside of panel and see standing water, cleaned area and ran a wire down tube "no more leak".

I just checked the tube, and it looks like theres a little bit of standing water in the tube. Did you just use something like a coat hanger to clean out the tube?

Well I tried to clean out the tube, but there was nothing in there. I ran a hose on the car for about a half an hour and the drain tube didnt appear to be clogged at all. I had someone run the hose over the drivers side window and roof while I was inside and still no leaks inside the car. Tomorrow Ill check the grommet, but if thats not it I have no clue where the waters coming from.

Bringing up an old thread. It rained again today and I found out where my leak is coming from. It appears that water is coming in at the back of the door at the bottom and then running down into the footwell. Not quite sure how to fix this though...
