??s Lakewood DS Loop
??s Lakewood DS Loop Couple of things. It appears you get rid of the Stamped "X" brace under our cars when you install it? did this affect any stiffness, replacing it with the loop? It seems much beefier and heavier so i doubt it does much. Did anyone else find it a pain snaking the bottom of the brace over the exhaust pipe to get it on there? I monkeyed with it for a while and It seems like you gotta drop the I-pipe of the exhaust to get it on? Any thoughts? I guess if worse comes to worse I could read the directions...

Well I played with it for a while and got it on. The bottom brace went on easy once i took my time and looked at it a little. Putting the loop over the drive shaft was a big pain. If you have the thin stock torque arm it would be no problem, but if you have a beefy aftermarket piece like me (and most ppl that will be installing a DS loop) it sucks. I had to undo the clamshell and swing the torque arm out of the way to get the loop over the yoke. I hate that damn top nut on the clamshell. If I never have to undo and redo that nut again ill be happy.
I didnt get a chance to drive the car yet with the new brace on but i will tomorrow. I know some people report a bit of a "stiffer" feel to the car, but we'll see. Im not getting my hopes up.

need to order parts ASAP, on a tight schedule.
I need to know if the Lakewood DS loop actually works on verts? I just want to hear someone's confirmation because online there is a disclaimer stating that it "does not fit convertibles"
any help, I need a loop that goes on a vert!

The straight brace is what's replaced by the DSL. The
X, I had to ditch for long tubes and it did make things
feel a little more floppy. I had no trouble installing the
thing.
