Cam Install Question

Cam Install Question Hey Folks,
Putting the vette away for the winter this weekend and I'm going to be tearing apart the engine and replacing most of the top end. I want to put a cam and possibly heads (if I can find a set of used heads cheap enough). Is there anything special that I need in order to do this? Are there things like if I'm 1mm off on something the engine will blow (regarding cam install), etc? Any tips/links to guides/suggestions would be appreciated. I will also probably be doing lifters, valve springs and rocker arms.
