Looks like the 2005 C6 which comes out about June 2004 will have base coup with 425 hp! Was going to get a C5 but now I'm going to wait for the C6. Price won't jump that much either. Z06 is going to be on hold then come out with 500hp! YEAH

How'd you hear this? Just curious...ive already heard way too many C6 rumors to believe it, untill i see actual backing

I think the 500hp rumor is pretty much fact now. Take a look at the SAE paper that was posted here and in the internal engine section recently.

Ling 650vette, read it in the October issue of Motor Trend. Also new will be 6 speed auto. The revamped LS motor will also have variable valve timing. Est. price = 45k.

Well, 66, i knew the 500hp thing was pretty much fact. Ive even seen dealership reports off the same SAE paper you had posted on here. It was pretty cool.

Dont you mean 5 speed auto?

I'm waiting for mine. Putting down a down payment as soon as I'm able to. I'm out of school in May and already have 5 possible jobs lined up with HUGE sign on bonuses

I8COBRA, nope 6 speed. that's what the article says. Plus I have read about these before. 4 and 5 speeds are alredy outdated. The Cadillac XLR is also 6 speed auto. I know, it's a lot, must be always shifting.
