C6 or C5 Zo6?
I will be in the market soon, I thought about a '05 C6, but after driving both decided to pursue a '02-'04 ZO6. Why? Well I have always wanted a C5 Z since they came out. Plus it just felt better. The C5 Z felt like a muscle/sports car. The base C6 felt to ordinary. IMO the LS6 has more low end grunt then the LS2 and I just can't get over the looks of a base C6. I'm so used to seeing the wide-body ones like the ZO6 and ZR1 that the base C6 looks kinda wimpy to me. I actually like the pop-up lights of the C5, but do think the C6 has a nicer overall nose. But the C5 Z looks better overall and it's got a meaner, tuffer look. So to each their own, IMO I'd take a C5 ZO6 over a '05 or so base C6.

I would (and did) go with the C5Z. Age isn't as much of a factor to me when buying a vette. You can buy someones weekend toy or car that was stored every winter with much lower miles than a normal DD. My car is an 04 and still has under 30k miles, most put on in the two years I've owned it. If you're like me, you'll replace most of the parts that wear out anyway.
