I'm new to the forum and soon to be an owner of a c5 z06 in the fall, hello to everyone. I wanted to know if i should stay away from the 2001 z06 vs the other model years. Is there a noticable difference in performance between the model years? Gears, etc?

Pretty much the same car....01 doesn't have HUD, which I never use anyway.

2001 has a little less power, which won't matter once you mod.

If you get an insane deal on the 2001 go for it. Other wise for the same money why not get at 02 and up.

I agree with everything except the HUD part. I use mine all the time. Other than that though once you start modding it wont matter.

Get a '02-'04 if you can swing it. There were alot of upgrades.
