I think when I change, it will be Bilstein's. I have always had great experiences with Bilsteins. Thanks for the post though. I would imagine it would be the same regardless of the brand.

I dunno. I shaved about 2 seconds a lap off my AutoX times with them, and they fix the problem with wallowing and bump steering in high speed corners. They are the BEST mod I've done to the car so far. And they are cheap.
I had Bilsteins on my Camaro, and the rears blew out the seals in 2000 miles. They did work pretty good though. A least a few people with the Bilsteins on the C5's have problems with short bushing life as well.
Here's what I can guarantee you. With a 2002 Z06, you will go faster than the stock shocks in the twisties. I'm surprised how much diffence they made.

I'm not sure, but I don't think C4 Bilsteins work real sweet on C5's.
And how the hell do you get ANY shocks to last 71,000 miles on a sportscar? How often do you race?
In any event, there are certainly better shocks than either Bilstein or 2004 OEM for the C5 Vettes. There are no cheaper shocks that perform better at this point than the 2004 Z06 shocks.
