Default New Z06 owner and have a question....

Ok ive had f-body cars since i was 16. I am now 23 and will be purchasing my 1st Z06 this week. One thing id like to know is oil filters you use the most? I usually stick with the AC delco for my camaro and i run 20-50w in my built motor. I will be using synthetic on the vette, but was wondering what filter to use?

Thanks...

NAPA Gold # 1042 It's a Wix filter and one of the best out there for the LS motors. At around $6.50 it's a pretty god deal too!

I use K&N. A little more expensive but it's peace of mind. Also comes with a nut on the end of the filter so you can wrench it off easily...

Thank god... I had to use the jaws of life for the camaro... Was better than that other oil filter wrench, but the nut on the end will do wonders.

Btw just got a 03 EB z06 with 44k miles on it. woot!!

I stick with the AC Delco, but I am a loyal GM guy.

My wife has a 1999 TA, I know what you mean about getting to that oil filter!!!

Congrats on the Vette!

I don't have a vette, but I run the K&N Gold on all of mine. I use to run the NAPA Gold, but honestly, that 1" nut on the bottom of the case is worth it's weight in gold!
