I just installed the VR-SC1R yesterday. I immediately noticed some increase in low-end throttle response. The ECM took awhile to re-learn. It only just this afternoon stopped the mild surging at idle while it figured out what to do with the additional air.

Haven't really opened it up yet to feel the top-end pull increase, but so far I am happy. Headers and a tune will really wake it up. For now, this is the only performance mod and it's not tuned.

I also installed some Nitto Invos yesterday. Wow! This sucker really moves. Amazing what a little traction can do.

Went from stock 02z air box to a halltech venom. Then i went to the vararam cai after the halltech.

Throttle response was better with the halltech venom than with the vararam or stock. The build quality is better with the halltech. The halltech airbridge hit my hood liner though. I had to sell my halltech so i replaced it down the road with the vararam. I really can not tell any sotp difference at any speed when compared to the halltech. I know people post positive results over the halltech at the track with the vararam though. The halltech looks better also imo. The build quality of the vararam is not great but not as bad as some people post. Either kit i had was better than stock.

One last thing the vararam has caused lean codes. I have checked it many times and even added extra foam to seal it better. Some cars need a tune to remove the codes and some do not. Mine is getting tuned this weekend after the arh header install.
