Ok car makes just under 400 rwhp, its an 06 Z51 car. On MT drag radials... how hard can I launch this thing with out breaking it? stock clutch.... and i am talking at a track where it will hook.

I come from an F-body with a 9" in it. haha 2 step set at 6000 and side stepping the clutch....I know i cant do that.

DRs are pretty hard on the drive line due to the fact they have very little sidewall give and the drive line has to absorb the energy of the launch. At 400 rwhp things should be good. 500+ rwhp is a completely different story with DRs.

one good hook and you will be towing it home.It will snap the long side OP shaft.Easier to do it now, then play.

its going to be fine...just get out fast if you wheel hop. But, if you are going to dump the clutch at 6k with DR's, you are just going to spin. Might as well get some real tires for the track if you want to leave hard

slip it. Try to have it fully engaged by 10 feet out. Get it down and you can see 1.7-1.8 60 times

Dont waste ur money go get some M/T DRs instead. Any power with Nitto;s they suck! Last set of M/T DRs 295x45x17s I got 5200 miles and 39 passes at track and was only down to wear bars on tires.

I think you should go ahead and buy a DTE Brace and Hardened Output Shaft & then hit the track.

i would start at 4500 or so, and slip it. Yes, it wears the clutch, but you ARE racing just get it so your tires dont spin, but you are accelerating hard. Its def not easy. Takes lots of practice

if you want results, you need to beat it.

^ The only problem with that is if he DD's it too and needs it to be somewhat reliable. I know i have to replace the clutch this spring and hope my new one lasts a while. I don't drag race much though so once or twice of slipping it and i should be fine. I was hoping Nitto 555R's would be ok but i guess not
