Do I need a tune after adding a Vararam for a new ZO6?
I am going to install my old Vararam off my 2008 Coupe on the new Z and was wandering if it needed tuning. We tuned it and installed the Vararam at the same time on the last car.

When we put mine on the dyno and monitored air-fuel ratios, it did lean out up top quite a bit. After the tune, it picked up another ~35-40rwhp. Not required, but recommended based on my experience. I am going to double verify those gains on a different dyno tomorrow. If accurate, that would mean I am putting down 480+ rwhp with just the Vararam and the tune.

It will probably lean out some, but computer has capacity to learn it to a certain degree. What you need is to adjust your fuel trims. I added Vararam and Kooks header/hi-flow catted X-pipe, and car ran a bit stronger. Bought an unlocked Diablo Predator tuner from a fellow corvetteforum member, added tune and adjusted fuel trims as per diablosport website suggestions, and now car is an animal. Mike
