Default Insurance for a c5

Hey guys I have found some good deals on corvettes in my area. Mainly early C5s. What does insurance run for you guys. I will say that I am 20 years old and have a clean driving record. Looking to sell my car due to the fact that lt1/6spd cars in the area have been selling for 7 grand. Also are there any main problems with early c5 corvette?

I just bought an 02 eb vert Im 23 and full coverage with 1000 deductible here in ok is 89 a month. I also have an 93 model daily driver and my home insurance that helps keep the cost down. The vette insurance is actually cheaper than the ss...didnt see that coming.

Yeah I did some quotes and my insurance was coming almost the exact same as my 96 formula. Did not think that they were that cheap.

I'm 28 and my 03 Mach 1 was 580 every six months but the Z06 is only 454 every six.....go figure. BTW insurance is high as camel **** in SC!! Property tax is also a rip off in this state.

I'm just starting my policy and i'm looking at $338 every six months. The insurance on my C5 is actually about $50 cheaper every six mths than my TA. this is full coverage and with $500 deductable. total i'm paying just over $100 a month for both with full coverage.

That is because the vette is a sports car, not a muscle car. The ins companys believe people buy mustang/camaros/firebird to race around with them compared to porsches/vettes, blah blah..

I have to agree my insurance agent told me that Corvettes are so cheap, is because compared to the others mentioned above they do not file as many claims.

They told me F-body insurance is so higher because there more wrecks with them. Vette should be cheaper because they don't get wrecked as much.

I just got a quote on a '00 FRC vs a 02 Z06 and it was a $30 difference.
I pay $971/year for the Ws6 w/ full coverage & my '95 S10. With the Z06 & my S10 my cost is $791 per year. I was pleasantly suprised.

Mostly older guys own corvettes, so they're more responsible and wreck less than us younger guys that can only afford f-bodies.

I'm 28, my 99 Vette is $48/month through State Farm. My 02 Camaro is around $63/month. I also have house insurance through State Farm which knocks it down some.

**** man. I searched all over for insurance and the cheapest i have so far is 214$ a month now. Thats after the Defensive Driving 10% discount. Im 23 as well with 2 priors dating back 4 years and 10 months ago. One prior will be off this june and the other will be off Feb of 2010. I don't understand how some of you get that cheap of insurance. I also have a 1K deductable.

I'm 35 with a clean record and home/car discount. I pay about $70/month for my 99 FRC and 01 Sport Trac.
