jet hot longtubes Have any of you guys heard of jet hot longtube headers? they are 639.00 shipped at speedengineering.com. I was wondering if their worth it. Will the car run good and receive the extra power with no tune? If these aren't any good what makes the hp and cost the least? THANKS

I did have a set on my t/a. Basically they were hooker header design that were just jet hot coated. Worked great on my t/a. Not sure if this is the case or not for the vette, but hooker doesn't make a header for the C5 vettes.

Kooks headers (jet hot 1700 coating) and it helps keeps the headers cool.
You wont get much power out of headers with no tune, headers need to be tuned. Get a CAI, it makes about 10-15 hp and needs no tuning.
Even though jet-hot is known for their coatings... I must say that the coatings they have SUCKS!
I've seen several sets (f-bodies included) where the coatings have bubbled up and trashed after a couple years of normal daily driving in the south.
I'd pass on 'em... pass gas.

track time on them too and they still look brand new.
